When the last drops of Sloe Gin have been bottled, the real magic begins.
The leftover berries, hand-harvested from Tasmania's laneways and steeped for over 18 months in our Classic Gin are then transformed into this deeply flavoured Sloe Paste.
Made by Meagan ( partner of our distiller ) with help from her son Frank and his support crew, this is a product with real purpose.
Frank, who lives with a complex disability, helps with labelling, packing, and delivering each jar, making this not just a beautiful local product, but a powerful expression of care and community. For us, it keeping it in the family.
The result is a richly textured paste with subtle berry sweetness, best served with cheese or alongside roast meats.
It's a staple on McHenry grazing boards, and with a two-year shelf life, it makes for a thoughtful, feel-good gift that lasts.
