The Distillers Note
Peated whisky has a long tradition in the old world, but this is peat done the McHenry way. Crafted with care using Scottish peat, natural Tasmanian spring water, and years of patient barrel maturation, our first-ever peated expression is a whisky worth waiting for.
From the first pour, it draws you in with earthy smoke and a subtle hint of sea air. On the palate, expect a wave of salted caramel, soft spice, and caramel fudge wrapped in creamy vanilla. It's rich, rounded, and warming, layered with just enough coastal salinity to keep things interesting.
The finish is where the complexity truly shows itself, raisins, gentle smoke, and a lingering spice that stays long after the last sip. It's a whisky shaped by tradition, but unmistakably Tasmanian in character.
This is more than just our first peated release, it's a celebration of craft, place, and the quiet magic that happens when smoke meets spring water.
